Santa Connection at MUSC!

Robin Olds, Mark G. and the IE Team (Kevin Tinch, Prentis Waters) did a fabulous job of facilitating Santa Connection at MUSC on 12/4 with the help of the entire staff (IT and clinicians) at MUSC children's hospital.  Awesome event and tremendous opportunity to help create some much needed smiles.  Live 5 News Charleston was there to capture the whole event for the community!

With Christmas rapidly approaching, Santa is putting the final touches on his list and checking it twice. For the eighth straight year, Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) is teaming up with medical centers across North America to provide children who are hospitalized during the holidays the opportunity to speak with Santa and let him know which toys they hope to get for Christmas! From Canada, down to the U.S. and Latin America, Santa will virtually visit hospitals from his home at the North Pole, making cyber-stops by way of the magic of the latest mobile and collaboration technologies.

These hospitals, with the help of Cisco and our partners, are bringing a live feed of the North Pole to their patients -- using either an iPad, or a video monitor and web-enabled camera. Santa will visit with children in the hospital's playroom or pay bedside visits on a mobile cart or iPad enabled with Cisco Jabber software.
